Austrian wedding

Wandering around St. Gilgen on Saturday evening revealed what just about every town in the world shares… Weekend weddings. The Austrian version seems to involve a parade to “catch” the bride, followed by a parade to the wedding breakfast, followed by a parade to the wedding dessert, flowed by a parade to the wedding dance, followed by a parade to the wedding drinks, followed by … and so on. Each parade is lead by a band loudly playing Pied Piper to the wedding party and guests. We saw this group more than once. Everyone dressed in traditional Austrian costumes and thoroughly enjoying the festivities.
