Time to move on… an early start and away by bike to the train station for the trip to St. Malo, Brittany. Having sussed out the station and the directions two days before when we bought the tickets we were right on time for the early departure.
A few hours later, after a comfy trip through the countryside, we pulled into St. Malo station and began a search for a room. St. Malo is a fortress town built on a squarish peninsula which used to be an island. With amazing walls and cobbled streets it oozes character, not to mention local seafood which comes in by the fleet of fishing vessels based here. Naturally that meant it necessary to sample as much as possible and by day’s end many a mussel and seafood gallette had been appraised- and the verdict? Tres Bon!
