Busselton Jetty

Some places you visit imprint themselves on you from the first instant. Busselton Jetty is one of those!
Imaging a mirror-surfaced sea (Geographe Bay), soft blue shades as far as the eye could see (to the extent that it was hard to discern the sea from the horizon), the sweeping line of the jetty drawn two kilometres out in to the water, poetry and words of quiet contemplation printed for the fisherfolk and dreamers to ponder, loving plaques to loved ones, now gone, who once paused here and loved this place and, today at least, little more noise than the soft splash of a fishing line cast into the unbroken sheen or the flap of a seabird’s wings… that is Busselton Jetty!
