Quick, before it rains!

The forecast said high winds. The forecast said heavy showers, the forecast said possible hail. Jan said, let’s go for a bike ride! And that’s just what we did, taking the calculated risk that we could be back safe and dry if we were finished by lunch time…

Very glad we did too, because Albany has delights and pleasures at every turn. We took the bike path loop from our accommodation over the escarpment and along the docks, past the Arts complex, through the historic dockside streets and the city centre and back past Middleton Beach. Next it was across to pretty Emu Point, arriving as leaden clouds began to take over the previously clear sky. We turned back as a few drops started to fall and just completed the circuit minutes before the deluge.
