Chasms, Canyons, Gorges and Gaps…

Another day around Alice Springs had us driving the highways in search of holes. Holes in rocks, specifically. BIG holes in rocks… The sort you can hike along and explore (and fall of if you aren’t careful!)
So, here are the first three: Ormiston Gorge, Standley Chasm and Simpson’s Gap!

All gorged out, we drove on from Alison Alice Springs in true Outback style… along a red dirt road in search of King’s Canyon. Oh, we found it!

And so to our well earned rest at King’s Creek Station: with tents, a campfire, outrageously expensive fuel and the gentle sounds of camels serenading us to sleep…
